New Year is a favorite holiday for many people, including me. Especially in Armenia, it is always celebrated very loudly, and I really like that. Now the year is coming to an end, and it is time to look back and sum up the results.

This year had many good moments, so I can’t choose just one happiest thing. However, I am very happy that by the end of the year my sister managed to achieve her dream and fly to America. I am truly happy for her. At the same time, I made many foolish mistakes and wrong decisions this year, and that is probably the saddest part for me. In the new year, I would like to change my character, improve myself as a person, and become better. I also have regrets. Things I should not have done, but they taught me to be smarter and stronger. As for dreams and wishes, many of them came true, but there are still some dreams that have not been fulfilled yet. I also really enjoyed how I celebrated last New Year, and I hope to celebrate it even better this year.

New Year is coming very soon, and I remember that when I was a child, I truly believed in Santa Claus and always waited for that night when he would bring presents.Almost every year, I celebrate Christmas and New Year in my home country, but once I celebrated them in Moscow, and it was the best New Year I spent with my younger sister.Honestly, sometimes I do not follow traditional celebrations strictly, but traditional dishes are always on the table at my home.I really enjoy Christmas time. I love giving presents and receiving them as well, so I always look forward to the holidays and carefully choose gifts for others. This is my favorite part of the celebrations.I often attend church during the New Year holidays and enjoy decorating the Christmas tree in a stylish and beautiful way.

I decorate the Christmas tree differently every year, but I especially like glass ornaments and white trees. We usually put it up about ten days before New Year and take it down on January 14. It is artificial.I have not had a Christmas party at school, but we do have New Year concerts, which are just as fun, and I take part in them.Honestly, I have not planned how I will celebrate this New Year yet. Most likely, I would like to spend it with my family and close people.For example, I celebrated the beginning of 2024 in Moscow, and despite the cold weather, I felt very warm because I was surrounded by many relatives.A few days before New Year, we usually buy groceries, cook food, decorate the house, and buy presents. On New Year’s Day, we celebrate with my cousin’s family.In our families, the table often includes dolma, pancakes, meat, salads, and wine.To be honest, I do not know what presents I will receive this year, but for me, attention matters the most. And of course, I enjoy giving presents more than receiving them, so I will carefully choose gifts for my family and friends.

In conclusion, this year taught me many lessons and gave me both happy and challenging moments. Christmas and New Year are special for me because they bring my family together and help me look forward to the future with hope. I believe the coming year will be better and full of positive changes.
